I've owned two Triumph Spitfires, both 1975 in Pimento Red. This is a 1974 Spitfire that I found on ebay (who knew?) three hours before the bidding closed. Mike and I brought it home two days later.

Spitfire One and Two My first Spitfire was a 1975 1500 Model which I bought in 1977, while I was in College. The second was also a 1975 which I purchased in November of 1983 in Wichita, Kansas while I was an engineer for Beech. (17 Images)

Bringing Home Sammy The first step in any project is getting the subject home. Mike said "It's sure is cold to be collecting a car!" and it was, about 10 degrees F when we hitched up the trailer and traveled from the far south metro to the far north. (9 Images)

Inventory The project included boxes of things the previous owner collected, or got from the previous previous owner; and things he already did himself. I had to sort through everything, and figure out what I was keeping, and what I might do over, in order to start planning the project. (244 Images)

Storage The project needs to be stored until I'm ready to tackle it, which will be right after the "MGB Wire Wheel Conversion that Turned Into a Restoration" (http://www.dbraun99.com/mgb1970) is completed. In the meantime, the Spitfire is covered outside, and the boxes and loose parts are in the attic. (8 Images)
